Learning Center
This all about Fly Fishing from the very young to the old.  We will have many pro tyers demonstrating their skills in the main hall and we will also have the Education Learning Center which will help all.  We will have “free” fly casting done by certified instructions, beginning fly tying by our pool of fly tyers, a section for Trout in the Classroom, Conservation brochures and a table for entomology.  We need more volunteers to help out in the Learning Center.  We are starting to record the Fly Tying Theater tiers.

ON GOING PROJECTS

PROJECT HEALING WATERS

This is a rewarding project to help the disabled vets to learn to fly fish.  We have several VA Hospitals/State facilities where we reach out to the veterans to help them learn to fly cast, tie a fly and spend some special time with them.  We have had the chance to help them in a fishing outing sponsored by the VA to catch trout for their Friday Fish Fry.
We are also teaching them to tie on the “Evergreen Hand” which is designed for the disabled veteran.

TROUT IN THE CLASSROOM

This is has become on of the strongest growing classroom projects for teachers.  The program is sponsored by California Department of Fish and Game and is state wide.
